Bayern Munich set up online condolence book for Mueller

Bayern Munich have set up an online book of condolence for fans following the death of Bundesliga record goal scorer Gerd Mueller.

The club said in a statement on Wednesday that the page at https://fcbayern.com/kondolenzbuch-gerd/ would allow supporters to say goodbye “in a personal way”.

The 1974 world champion died on Sunday at the age of 75 after suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.

Entries can be made until Sept. 15.

In addition, a physical book of condolence is available for visitors to the Bayern Museum at the Allianz Arena, where there is special exhibition “Gerd Mueller: Goals for Eternity”.

According to the club, all entries to the digital and physical condolence books will be compiled together in a complete edition at a later date.
