Bandits release three out of seven remaining Kebbi students

Bandits have released three of the remaining seven girls earlier abducted from the Federal Government College, Birnin Yauri, Kebbi State.

Newsmen recalls that 96 students of the school were Kidnapped on June 17, 2021.

Since then, some of the abductees had been released in batches.

However, in a statement on Monday, the chairman of parents of the Abducted School Girls’ Forum, Malam Salim Kaoje, said that the newly released girls arrived Kebbi on Monday afternoon.

He mentioned those released as; Elizabeth Ogechi Nwafor, Esther Sunday and Aliya Abubakar.

According to him, they had paid an undisclosed amount of money to secure the release of the girls after they sold their properties and a fund raising that saw many Nigerians assisting the parents financially.

“Yes they released three of the school girls to us on Sunday evening. They are already with the State Government”, Kaoje said.
