Bandits re-abduct wife of Fulani leader, three children in Abuja

Wife of Ardon Fulani in Kwali Area Council of Abuja, Alhaji Adamu Ardo, Mrs Habiba Adamu, has been abducted alongside three of her children on Monday night.
The three children were identified as Hafsat, Fatima and Abubakar.
Habiba was abducted in February but rescued by some vigilantes.
The senior wife of the Ardon Fulani, Mrs Khadijat Adamu, confirmed the kidnap to Nigerian NewsDirect on Tuesday, noting that bandits invaded Anguwar Tudan Fulani at Yangoji village in Kwali area council of Abuja, around 12:04 a.m.
According to Khadijat, the bandits gained access into the house through the kitchen back door.
She asserted that she was initially abducted but released when the bandits realised that she could not walk because of old age. Stressing that the bandits ransacked her room and took away her three phones.
“The bandits forced their way into the house through the back door after they struggled with the main door but couldn’t open it; they then went into my room and that of my second to scatter everything inside while searching for money,” he said.
She said her husband was not at home when the bandits struck, disclosing that the police from Kwali divisional headquarters visited the house after the incident.
The spokesperson of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) police command, DSP Adeh Josephine, told Nigerian NewsDirect that she is not aware of the incident. She however promised to find out.
Nigerian NewsDirect had earlier reported that the Federal Ministry of Education ordered the immediate closure of FCG, Kwali after a security breach on Sheda and Lambata villages and suburbs of Kwali Area Council which also threatens the school.
It was gathered that the decision was as a result of rising insecurity and threat to the lives, security and well-being of the students therein.
In a letter signed on Monday by the Ministry Director Press and Public Relations, Ben. Bem Goong, the Minister noted that the closure became necessary because of the insecurity in the area.
He added that the timely intervention of security agencies saved the situation.
The Education Minister, Adamu Adamu, in the letter also directed that arrangements should be made for final-year students to conclude their National Examination Council (NECO).
However, when our correspondent contacted FCT Police Force PRO, Josephine Adeh, she didn’t confirm nor deny the report.
