Bandits kill teacher, abduct two children and seven others in Nasarawa state

In a tragic incident in Lokogoma community, Gadabuke District, located in the Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, primary school teacher Yakubu Mohammed was fatally shot by gunmen suspected to be bandits. Additionally, two of Mohammed’s children were abducted during the attack.

The incident, which occurred around midnight on Friday, also saw the abduction of seven other residents, including two women. Furthermore, a woman sustained bullet injuries as a result of the assault.

DSP Ramhan Nansel, the state police public relations officer, confirmed the attack to SaharaReporters on Tuesday. He stated that an investigation into the incident has been initiated and that efforts are underway to rescue the kidnapped victims and apprehend those responsible for the crime. “It is confirmed that the incident occurred, and we have launched an investigation. We are actively working to rescue the victims and bring the perpetrators to justice,” Nansel remarked.
