Bandits kidnap man, two wives, child in Zamfara

Gunmen suspected to be terrorists have kidnapped one Jamilu Yoyo, his two wives and their little child in the Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

Newsmen gathered that the armed men invaded Jamilu’s residence around Technical College, Kaura Namoda, in the wee hours of Tuesday shooting sporadically before gaining access into the residence.

This medium reports that this occurred less than twenty four hours after another gang of armed bandits kidnapped a family man, his two children and his camel in the same community on Monday.

According to the residents of the area, two children later regained their freedom, saying that the bandits went away with the man and his camel.

It was said that communities within the local government have in recent times been experiencing bandit attacks, forcing many locals to flee their ancestral homes to other communities for their safety.

The source said that residents of nearby communities now relocate from their villages to Kaura town every evening for the fear of the unknown.

The Zamfara State Police Command is yet to comment on the matter as at the time of this report.
