Bamigboye holds stakeholders meeting ahead of 2025 budget

…Assures community leaders of debt-free handover to successor

The Executive Chairman of Mushin Local Government, Hon. Emmanuel Bamigboye, on Wednesday, convened a stakeholders’ meeting in preparation for the 2025 budget planning.

The meeting, held at the Council Hall, was attended by political, traditional, religious, and community leaders from across the 10 wards that make up Mushin.

In his opening remarks, Bamigboye expressed his gratitude to the leadership of socio-political and cultural institutions within the community, acknowledging their support since his tenure began in 2017.

The chairman highlighted the progress made during his administration, emphasising key achievements such as massive road constructions, market development, and enhanced healthcare services.

Bamigboye further detailed ongoing projects and future plans, focusing on road infrastructure, building projects, and community development.

He assured the stakeholders that these initiatives would be completed within his term, adding that the local government would continue its efforts to build a lasting legacy for future generations.

Hon. Toyin Fayinka, representing Mushin Constituency 02 in the Federal House of Representatives, commended Bamigboye for his commitment to infrastructure development.

He urged the community to protect the public assets being built, particularly the new roads.

Former lawmaker Hon. Bolaji Yusuf Ayinla, who served in both the Lagos State House of Assembly and the Federal House of Representatives, lauded Bamigboye for his unprecedented achievements in Mushin.

Meanwhile, Hon. Seye Oladejo, a former chairman of Mushin Local Government and current Special Adviser to the Governor, advised Bamigboye to continue supporting local artisans and technicians.

The royal fathers were also well-represented at the event. HRM Oba Sikirulai Olamide Williams, the Osu Apena 01 of Odi Olowo Kingdom, called on leaders to create lasting legacies that will benefit the community.

Other prominent figures at the meeting included the Vice Chairman of Mushin Local Government, Hon. Tunbosun Aruwe, Leader of the Legislative Arm, Hon. Olawale Ayegbayo, and other members of the council.

Key stakeholders like HRM Oba Tajudeen Ishola Odubiyi, the Baale of Oke Mushin, and the Chairman of the Mushin chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Primate Dare Oladele, also shared their thoughts on the development of the area.
