Badaru lays foundation for Jigawa Govt housing project

The former Governor of Jigawa State and Minister of Defense, Mohammed Badaru has laid the foundation for the 1,500 housing project at Fanisau in Jigawa state.

The housing project has been earmarked by the state government to be constructed in eight local government areas including the five Emirates councils in the state.

During the ceremony, Governor of Jigawa state, Umar Namadi stated that six hundred housing units will be constructed in Dutse, the Jigawa State capital.

The Governor explained that two hundred houses will also be constructed at Hadejia and the remaining Seven Hundred Housing units will be constructed at Gumel, Kazaure, Ringim, Babura, Birninkudu and Kafin Hausa local Government respectively.

He assured that more houses would be built in the state depending on the people’s demand with a view to reduce the shortage of accomodation in the state.

The Governor said further that this is part of his fulfillment of his campaign promises made during the elections.
He assured citizens that the project will improve the economy of the people in the state and provide job opportunities to teeming youth including food vendors, labourers and other groups of people in the state .

The Governor also clarified that more houses would be constructed across the State in almost all the 27 local government areas of the state.

Also, the Emir of Dutse, Alh.Hameem Nuhu Muhd Sunusi in his remarks appealed to the Federal government to expand and improve the army barrack stituated along Dutse Ringim Road which was part of his legacy project that Badaru brought to the state during his tenure as former Governor of Jigawa State.

The Emir also appealed to the Minister to provide maximum security at Dutse airport by providing the airport with air force officers that will secure the Dutse airport and Hadejia airport.

He also seized the occasion to thank the Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi for the development he brought to the state capital Dutse noting that the Governor’s name has entered the history books of the state with a good record that he is among the persons who brought development to the state.

Also speaking at the occasion, the Minister of Defense, Badaru Abubakar appreciated the Jigawa State Governor for the reception accorded to him.

“Indeed I am very grateful for the invitation given to me as the special guest of the occasion,” Badaru stated.
