Super Eagles caretaker coach, Augustine Eguavoen, has reflected on his team’s 1-1 draw against against the Cheetahs of Benin Republic.

Eguavoen’s side rallied to earn a share of the spoils in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying encounter in Abidjan on Thursday night.

Mohammed Tijani gave the Cheetahs the lead after 16 minutes.

Victor Osimhen however rescued a point for Nigeria eight minutes from time.

“It was a tough game and I congratulate the players for a spirited display in the second half that earned us the equaliser,” Eguavoen thenff.com.

“The downpour made the game difficult for both teams, but I am happy we have the AFCON finals ticket in the bag ahead of the final game of the series against Rwanda in Uyo on Monday.”
