Member representing Kaduna South in the green chamber, Hon Muktar Ahmed Monrovia, has decried the lack of interest by northerners in the ongoing continuous voters registration exercise.
Hon Monrovia made the statement during a town hall meeting organized to give account as he clocks two years in the hallowed chambers as member representing Kaduna South.
Hon Monrovia said that, “LOsun state has recorded over 300,000 eligible voters who has registered in the present continuous voters registration but the whole north combined had not been able to do same.”
He said that due to the pressing needs or people who have come of age to vote in his constituency, he had acquired mobile handsets for some members to his constituency to help in capturing the data of the people in order to help hasten and drive home the message.
On the issue of EAD presently ongoing by the National Population Commission, Hon Monrovia called on members to avail information to the staff of the commission in order to improve their chances of getting more dividends from the Federal Government.
He further called on members and people in the constituency to always give relevant information so that their needs can be attained as such will improve governance in the area.
