Asiwaju Bola Ashamed Tinubu hosts APC professional women network
The Standard flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu ably represented by former Party Chairman and Deputy Director General of the APC Campaign Council, HE.Comrade Adams Oshiomole accompanied by the Secretary to the Campaign Council, Hon. James Abiodun Faleke (MHR) and other APC Chieftains received in earnest the Contigent of APC Professional Women Network who paid a courtesy visit to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Campaign office Headquarters in Abuja on thursday, 22 September, 2022.
The Deputy DG, Oshiomole who met with the group on behalf of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in company of the Secretary of the campaign council, Hon.Faleke said the visit is part of the consultations and engagement towards a successful campaign for the victory of APC in the upcoming 2023 General Elections.
The president of the group, Engr. Wuraola Atinuke Owolabi led on behalf of all other Executive and members informed the Deputy Director General that “ they were at the Campaign Council office to engage and strategize on the participation of APC Professional Women Network in the forthcoming campaign in line with the decision of our great party the APC to carry all women along both professional and non professional by ensuring that they play a greater role in delivering the presidential candidate and other candidates of the party.
She also intimated Governor Oshiomole of the ongoing mobilisation of various professional and Non Professional women support groups for Tinubu/ Shettima as well as the Grassroot engagement which will prove very crucial to the victory of the APC during the elections.
Oshiomole on behalf of Asiwaju Tinubu welcomed them to the Tinubu/ Shettima Campaign office Headquarters and assured them that the APC Presidential Campaign Council
Working with the Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, have put in place a robust plan Campaign plan that will deeply involve professional women and youths which will be all encompassing.
He pledged support for the group and also encouraged more professionals to be active in politics especially Engineers. Hon. Faleke also appreciated the group for supporting the vision of both the presidential candidate and his running mate, Sen. Kashim Shettima seeing more young professional women Engineer coming to politics noting that women constitute a large voting force in Nigeria and many of them are passionate about the APC and the quality of candidates brought forward who have over the years invested so much resources, time and programmes to empower women.
The President of the group, Engr.Wuraola who led on behalf of all the Executive and members thanked Asiwaju for recognising them and promised to work assiduously for all the APC Candidates across board. Group pictures were taken after the meeting.
Other Executive in attendance are: the board of trustee Barrister Sally Chinedu,National Secretary Engr Balogun Atinuke, North East Coordinator Engr Kori Shettima, Lagos state coordinator, Omona Adetoto, the continental representative of World council for Civil Engineers Engr Aisha Umar, members and young Engineers who also double as Asiwaju Professional foot soldiers.
