Arsenal goalkeeper leaves Emirates for new club ahead of Wolves clash

Arsenal has confirmed that their goalkeeper, Karl Hein, has left the club to join another English side, Reading, on loan.

Arsenal disclosed this in a statement via their website on Monday ahead of their next Premier League clash with Wolves in February.

Hein made his Arsenal first-team debut in July last year in a pre-season friendly against Hibernian.

The statement read in part, “Karl Hein has joined Championship side Reading on loan until the end of the season.

“The 19-year-old, who has been playing regularly for the under-23 since making his debut at just 17, made his non-competitive first-team debut in July in the pre-season friendly at Hibernian.

“Karl, who has been training regularly with the first-team squad in recent seasons, signed a new long-term contract with us last September and has been regularly travelling with the first team on match days, being on the bench seven times in the past two seasons.”

Karl joined Arsenal on a scholarship contract from the Estonian club Nomme United in July 2018.

He has made 12 appearances for his country, Estonian.
