Arivla to host Asoebi Fashion Show, introduce barter, unveil unified platform for fashion vendors

Arivla, an e-commerce platform for indigenous fashion, has informed the public of its Asoebi Party and Fashion Show, a night celebrating Nigerian cultural fashion which would also feature a market for trading, bartering and donating of fashionable items as well as the launching of the official platform to connect with any fashion vendor.

In a conference with newsmen on Monday, the CEO and Founder of Arivla, Dr. Mrs. Ivy Okike-Fatusin. “explained that the event is scheduled to take place on Friday, 13th December 2024, at The Podium,124 T. F. Kuboye Rd, Lagos, and it promises to be a day filled with tradition, innovation, and exclusive surprises.”

Themed “Old Money vs. New Money,” Dr Ivy noted that this exclusive event will feature curated segments throughout the day, such as; Exhibition from 10 am – 9 pm, Showcasing collections from renowned fabric vendors, including SAS Textiles, Funtok Fabrics, Marté Egele, and Asia’s In-Law, offering guests a rare look into traditional and contemporary Asoebi fabrics;

However, the CEO also informed that the Fashion Show will kickstart from 5 pm to 9 pm: Bringing designs from top Nigerian designers like Bibi Lawrence, T Artilier, HRH Luxury, and Mazelle Bridal to life on the runway, reflecting the beauty and evolution of Asoebi styles; There will be an After Party from 9 pm which will be blending fashion, music, and networking opportunities, creating an unforgettable celebration of Nigerian culture.

Dr Ivy further expressed the Arivla vision, saying; “Our vision at Arivla is to make Nigerian cultural fashion a global sensation, and this event is a reflection of that. Meanwhile, In response to questions raised in respect to participation of startups in the exhibition, Dr Ivy disclosed that Arivla has noted the relevance of encouraging startups in the fashion industry, in view of this, the firm decided to give out free stands to some startups and has considered how they can also gain mentorships in their diverse enterprises.

The CEO highlighted some of the major objectives of the Asoebi Party and Fashion Show as; a platform to position the Nigerian indigenous fashion brands, creatives and the entire Nigerian fashion market to the global fashion market where the Nigerian fashionistas can be globally accessed and patronised.
