Aregbesola commissions NIS passport processing centre in Abuja

The Honourable Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola on Tuesday commissioned Passport Express Processing Centre located at Plot No.1458 Tigris Crescent, beside NYSC Headquarters Maitama, Abuja. This is contained in a statement signed by DCI Sunday James Service Public Relations Officer

The Nigeria Immigration Service and made available to Nigerian NewsDirect.

The statement noted that The Passport Express Processing Centre offers a special menu to cater for premium passport request for applicants desirous of Passport within the shortest time possible.

“The Honourable Minister said that the Centre is timely as it has provided added value service to Nigerians and it will further minimize human contact thereby eliminating sharp practices and enhance public health protocol in line with the Government efforts at combating COVID- 19.

“Comptroller General of Immigration Service, Muhammad Babandede MFR described the Centre as a step forward towards solving problems associated with Passport Processing as it will provide speedy and guaranteed service for applicants willing to pay premium charges.”

The CGI Babandede stated that the Express Centre will charge N20, 000 service charges for applicant willing to collect the booklet within 3 days or N30, 000 for applicants wishing to collect the booklet within 24 hours. Further to this, the CGI called on Nigerians to only make online payments for passport and other Immigration facilities through the Service’s official website; www.immigration.gov,ng or designated banks listed on the website.
