APGA NWC sacks National Chairman, five others

Joshua Elekwachi, Abuja.

The National Working Committee of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) on Tuesday  sacked Chief Victor Oye and Edozie Njoku, the two factional Chairmen of the party from the party in a meeting by the National Executive Committee of the party in Abuja.

In a press conference after rising from its 114th NEC meeting in Abuja, the National Publicity Secretary of the Party said six other members of the Party were also sacked.

Those suspended indefinitely are  Hon Chinedu Obidigwe, Hamman Buba Ghide,  Barr. Sylvester Ezeokenwa, Adamu Danjuma Musa,  Chief Uchenna Okogbuo, and Barr. Ifeanyi Mbaeri

They were suspended from the party for anti-party activities, gross misconduct and conduct capable of bringing the party’s image to disrepute among others.

The party NEC therefore nullified the disqualification of Hon Chuma Umeoji Nze Akachukwu Nwankpo, Smart Nonso Okafor, Cater Dike Umeh, and Ozoka Ifeanyi from contesting the governorship primaries of the party scheduled for June 23, 2021.

The NEC of APGA reversed the disqualification of the five aspirants for the Governorship election in Anambra who were disqualified by the Victor Oye-led faction declaring that no person had been disqualified and that any purported disqualification was done without the authority of the Party.

They further cancelled the earlier announced date for the primaries and fixed July 1st, 2021 as the new date for APGA primaries.
