Arising from its 141st meeting, the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Working Committee (NWC) has condemned in its entirety the refusal of the Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly to swear in its 16 members, even after the Court of Appeal declared them duly elected.

The APC NWC in a 3-point communique signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka Esq reminded the Plateau State House of Assembly Speaker that the Court of Appeal is the highest court on determining electoral matters and as such, he has no reason whatsoever not to have sworn in its 16 members after the court’s verdict.

The National Working Committee of APC therefore urged the Speaker to quickly swear in their members in the interest of peace.

The NWC also resolved to flag off voter registration in Niger State, other 5 geo-political zones and the nation at large.

The communique equally adopted the report of NWC on high level reconciliation and intervention delegation to the United Kingdom’s APC Diaspora Chapter.

The NWC further approved the constitution of an Interim Executive Committee of the 24-member chapter,to be led by its chairman, Hon Tunde  Doherty and its Secretary,Hon Joseph Adebola.

The Interim Executive Committee has a three months life span, subject to renewal as may be deemed necessary by the party.
