APC loses lawmaker to AA in Nasarawa

Nasarawa State Assembly man, Abdulaziz Danaladi has defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Action Alliance (AA) party.

Abdulaziz, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Works, Transport and Housng, while addressing crowd of supporters in Keffi on Sunday said he defected due to injustice done to him during the APC primary election.

The lawmaker explained that he defected to AA in order to pursue his House of Representatives ambition for Keffi/Kokona/Karu Federal constituency.

Abdulaziz, member representing Keffi East Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, said the injustice done to him by the APC was the main reason why he dumped the party.

“I have defected to Action Alliance because of injustice done to me by APC. Everybody saw what happened during the recent APC primary election where delegates list was doctored,” he said.

According to him, in 1999, Mr Salisu Raj from Karu represented us at the House of Representatives, then Mr Aliyu Wadada from Keffi, followed by Mr Ishaq Kana from Kokona Local Government Area.

“Presently the seat is being occupied by Hon. Jonathan Gaza from Karu Local Government Area for eight years now.

“If we really want to be just to ourselves, it is the turn of Keffi Local Government to produce the next House of Representatives in my person.

“I will provide fair, quality and responsible representation, if elected into the green Chamber of the National Assembly,” he said.

Abdullaziz urged his supporters to work tirelessly for his victory in the 2023 general election.

The lawmaker also urged his constituents and Nigerians at large to obtain their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) to enable them vote for him and other good leaders come 2023.

He expressed optimism that he would win the election to represent his people at the green chamber.

The lawmaker also urged them to continue to be law abiding, respect constituted authorities, live in peace and tolerate one another, irrespective of their affiliations.

Alhaji Tanko Malami and Ibrahim Ibrahim, the Nasarawa State Chairman and Youth Leader of Action Alliance (AA), respectovely, urged the electorate to vote for Abdulaziz and other candidates of the party in the upcoming general election.

They said that Abdulaziz has done well in the state legislature, hence the need for the people in the constituency to come out enmass to vote for him in the 2023 general election.

On their parts, Messrs Abubakar Adamu, Adamu Abdullahi, Mr Buhari Abubakar, Abdulaziz Special Assistant, Coordinators of Abdulaziz in Kokona and Karu Local Government Areas, respectively, appealed to the constituents to vote Abdulaziz during the 2023 general election.

The trio have assured the lawmaker of their readiness to mobilise and work tirelessly for his victory in 2023.

Abdulaziz unveiled a billboard in his name, titled “Action Alliance, Gobe Na Allah Ne,” powered by ASK KKk Mandate Group.

The lawmaker was received with thousands of his supporters by the AA officials.
