The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has bagged 5,289 beating other opposition parties to win the Guma 1 state constituency bye-election in Benue State.
The APC candidate who won the election was Hon.Terwase Peter Uche defeating his co – contestants.
Professor Julius Ikya, the returning officer for the bye election declared Hon. Terwase Peter Uche winner of the bye election for having fulfilled all the election process and pulling the higest number of votes count in the election.
Nigerian NewsDirect reports that the declaration was done in the early hours of Sunday at LGEA Primary school Daudu in Guma local government area of the state
The breakdown of the elections results were as follows;.
APC pulled 5,289 vote’s, PDP – 4,134, LP – 2,833, APGA- 121, ADC – 72.
