APC commends members, supporters over Tinubu/Shettima’s successful presidential rally in Osogbo

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed its gratitude to all the members of the party and supporters across the state for their unflinching support to make the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign rally a huge success in Osogbo, the state capital, yesterday.

According to the Acting Chairman of the APC in the state, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, in a statement issued yesterday, he was particularly moved and happy with the large turn-out of the members of the party and supporters who graced the occasion which apparently was the first time that the venue, Nelson Mandela Freedom Park, Osogbo, would host such a large number of people as the venue was filled up beyond its capacity.

Lawal also stated that the level of decorum and discipline exhibited by the members of the party both inside and outside the venue was highly commendable.

He implored the members of the party who were yet to collect their Permanent Voters Cards(PVC) to take the advantage of the opportunity provided by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to do so without further delay in order to be able to vote during the general elections.

Lawal reminded the party members and supporters that it was only a member or supporter of the party who arms himself with the PVC who is an asset to the party while categorizing anyone without a PVC as a mere noise maker and a greater liability to the party.

The Acting State APC chairman however, condemned the administration of the sacked Governor Ademola Adeleke to have engaged in a petty politics of suspension of the activities of commercial vehicles and motorcycles across the state yesterday in order to bungle the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign rally.

He observed that God is not like a human being and the Tinubu/Shettima presidential project has a divine backing, the conspiracy of the sacked Governor Adeleke fell flat as the people devised alternative means of transportation to make it to the presidential campaign rally.

Lawal also condemned some reported incidents of the needless harrassment of some APC members and their supporters by some hired PDP political thugs on their ways from their towns and villages to Osogbo, yesterday.

The Acting State APC chairman reminded embattled Governor Adeleke that his party, the PDP, that the Tinubu’s presidential project is unstoppable because of its divine backing.

Lawal also commended the efforts of both formal and informal security services for their efforts in keeping peace within and outside the venue of the rally.
