APC Chairman-elect mourns ex-Lagos Dep. Speaker, Adediran

Chairman-elect of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos, Mr Cornelius Ojelabi, has described the death of a former Deputy Speaker of the House of Assembly, Mrs Adetoun Adediran, as a huge loss to the state.

Adediran, who served as deputy speaker between 1999 and 2003, died on Wednesday during a brief illness.

The deceased was also a former Women Leader of APC in the state.

She was also a member of the Governing Board of Michael Otedola College of Education (MOCPED), Epe, Lagos, among other positions.

“The death of Adediran came as a rude shock to the party, especially when it is in need of best brains to sustain its legacies in the state and at national level.

“She was a very dedicated party woman. Her wise counsel and active participation in party activities will be greatly missed,” Ojelabi said.

He prayed for the repose Adediran’s soul and that God should grant her family, associates, the constituents in Surulere, the state government and the entire APC family the fortitude to bear the loss.
