Anambra: Dunukofia LGA inaugurates solution team

Dunukofia local government area of Anambra state has inaugurated councilors of the various wards in the area which the transition committee chairman Hon. Onyemaobi Augustine Chukwunonyelum called the Solution Team.
Performing the all-important ceremony in his office at the council headquarters Ukpo yesterday, the TC chairman charged the newly inaugurated ward councilors to take the message of disruptive change to the grassroots in order to improve the living conditions of the rural populace.
Onyemaobi said their appointments were not for celebrations or merriments but a call to service in order to achieve the objectives of the solution team which he said was to take democratic governance to those in the hinterlands, adding that the livable and prosperous homeland being championed by Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo were their respective wards where the transformations would begin.
He, therefore, charged the councilors to go to their various wards and commence work. He was optimistic that the solution team of the local government would make a remarkable change especially as he described the crop of councilors inaugurated as assets to the council area while admonishing them to be diligent, resourceful and humane in their service to the people.
Also the councilor representing Umudioka ward 1 Hon. Elochukwu Emmanuel Okoye who spoke with our correspondent shortly after the inauguration, said what they would do at the ward level would be a reflection of what the governor does at the state level.
The Umudioka ward 1 representative said he would strictly abide by the rules and regulations guiding public service in the discharge of his official assignments.
Meanwhile, the councilor representing Ukpo ward 2 Hon. Chinedu Omeleke told our correspondent that the solution team being inaugurated in the Dunukofia local government area would cause a change which would be a reference point in the history of local government administration in the council area.
Omeleke noted that Dunukofia had already keyed into the developmental plans and programmes of Governor Soludo and that shortly the impacts of the new administration in the local government would begin to manifest.
He also pointed out that as the councilor representing Ukpo ward 2, he would coordinate the ward irrespective of political linings and party affiliations. He would also partner local vigilantes to ensure that the two villages in Ukpo ward 2 were well secured, stressing that security was the major priority in his ward.
Mrs. Anthonia Onyekwunife who is the councilor for Ukwulu ward 2, said she would be diligent in her service to the people and would ensure that their entitlements were not denied.
She said the people of Ukwulu were known for agriculture and she would deploy her office to ensure that they got improved fertilizers and other agro-inputs to boost agriculture in the area.
