Amusan picks APC registration card

Bankole Taiwo, Abeokuta

Former two-term federal lawmaker, Hon. Jelili Kayode Amusan has picked his registration card as member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Hon. Amusan who represented Abeokuta North/Odeda/Obafemi-Owode federal constituency at the House of Representatives between 2003-2011 registered for the ruling party at Ward 15, GRA, Ibara, Abeokuta South local government.

The property merchant disclosed that it was very thoughtful of the leadership of APC to have conceived the idea of the registration and revalidation exercise as it gives opportunity to many Nigerians to pitch their tent with the party.

It would be recalled that Hon. Amusan had some weeks to the 2019 elections left his former party, PDP and joined APC combining forces with other progressives to work for the success of Prince Dapo Abiodun at the poll.

The former legislator who had used his eight years in office to pursue several poverty eradication and empowerment programmes as well as many people oriented projects has therefore appealed to serving political office holders to use their tenure to make life more bearable for the residents of the country.

Hon. Amusan equally urged people to eschew violence in the face of the growing herders/farmers clash saying that people should give peace a chance as there could be no meaningful development in a chaotic environment.
