Zenith Bank Plc has been recognised as “Nigeria’s Best Bank” at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2025, cementing its status as the country’s standout financial institution and taking home the most prestigious national honour.
The award, presented on Thursday, 17 July 2025, at The Peninsula in London, underscores the bank’s commitment to providing exceptional banking services, innovative products and lasting value to its customers and shareholders.
Euromoney’s Awards for Excellence are among the most sought-after accolades in the global banking industry. The annual awards celebrate institutions that demonstrate leadership, innovation and resilience in their markets. This year’s edition recorded over 770 entries from leading international financial institutions, including HSBC, Morgan Stanley, Citi, Barclays, Standard Bank and Development Bank of Singapore (DBS).

Zenith Bank’s consistent performance has earned it numerous accolades. It has been ranked Nigeria’s Number One Bank by Tier-1 Capital for the sixteenth consecutive year in the 2025 Top 1000 World Banks Ranking, published by The Banker. It has also been named Bank of the Year (Nigeria) in The Banker’s Bank of the Year Awards for 2020, 2022 and 2024; Best Bank in Nigeria by Global Finance in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2024 and 2025; and Best Bank for Digital Solutions in Nigeria in the Euromoney Awards 2023. Additionally, the bank was listed among the World Finance Top 100 Global Companies in 2023.
