Yusuf pledges to partner NSCDC to sustain peace in Kano

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf has pledged to partner with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and other security agencies to sustain the peace in the State.

The Governor made this known when he received the newly posted Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Bala Bawa Bodinga, at the Government House, Kano.

The visit concluded with a strong commitment from the Commandant to ensure state security and fidelity to the government’s mandate.

During the courtesy visit, Commandant Bodinga pledged to work closely with the Kano State Government, prioritizing the protection of lives and property across the state. His commitment went beyond routine cooperation.

Commandant Bodinga assured the Governor of his complete loyalty and commitment to the service of the state, explicitly stating: “I will work with the Kano Governor and will not allow any group or other forces to make me go against you.”

He further promised to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and strengthen inter-agency cooperation to enhance peace and stability throughout Kano.

In his response, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf warmly welcomed the new Commandant and immediately assured him of the government’s full cooperation and support to facilitate his success.

The Governor reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to maintaining peace, protecting lives and property, and ensuring effective collaboration among all security agencies.

Governor Yusuf also recognized and appreciated the NSCDC’s vital role in safeguarding critical national assets and promoting community safety, stressing that Kano State will continue to partner with all security forces for the overall stability and progress of the state.
