Ahead of the Christmas celebration, Akwa Ibom State workers have begun receiving their 13th month salary to enable them adequately prepare for the festive season.
Reports from the Office of the Accountant General indicate that payment commenced yesterday, December 16, 2025.
The payment fulfills the promise made by Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, PhD, on Sunday, November 30, 2025, that workers would receive their 13th month salary on or before December 20.
Since the inception of the Umo Eno-led administration in 2023, Akwa Ibom workers have consistently received their 13th month salary, alongside other bonuses and welfare packages, reinforcing the Governor’s reputation as a worker-friendly leader.
