Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has stated that the rapid transformation of the state’s infrastructure is a direct result of institutional continuity, long-term strategic planning, and disciplined policy execution across successive administrations.

The Governor made this known on Sunday at the Lagos House, Marina, while hosting the 36 State Chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The courtesy visit concluded a three-day study tour organized by the Lagos State chapter of the APC, led by Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, aimed at exposing regional party leaders to the state’s governance blueprints.

During the three-day engagement, the party chairmen inspected major multi-billion naira economic assets and transport systems, including the Lekki Free Zone, the Lagos Rail Mass Transit Blue Line, and the Dangote Refinery corridor.

“Lagos is built on a foundation of governance continuity. Many of the landmark projects you have toured are the fruits of deliberate policies sustained and implemented by successive administrations. We do not abandon vision; we execute it,” Sanwo-Olu told the delegation.

The governor emphasized that his administration will continue to prioritize aggressive investments in transportation, healthcare, education, housing, and digital technology to build a resilient sub-national economy.

He also challenged the party chairmen to foster unity in their respective states to drive President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Responding on behalf of the forum, the APC state chairmen described the Lagos infrastructure network as a masterclass in urban renewal and public policy execution.

“What we observed in Lagos is a practical demonstration of how political stability can unlock economic growth.”

“The lessons in policy consistency and strategic infrastructure funding are models we intend to recommend to our respective state executives,” the delegation remarked in a joint statement.

The delegation concluded their tour with a courtesy visit to the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, before departing the state.
