The condolence message was conveyed through a statement issued by the university’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Mr Kunle Akogun, who described Hajia Khadijah’s passing as a profound loss, not only to her family and the Katsina Emirate but also to the wider community touched by her generosity and leadership.
Professor Egbewole paid tribute to the late Hajia Khadijah, describing her as a compassionate philanthropist and dedicated advocate for women, whose absence would be deeply felt across the many lives she influenced.
He encouraged the Emir to view the tragedy as a divine trial and assured him of the university community’s solidarity during this difficult period. The Vice Chancellor offered prayers for strength and comfort for the grieving royal family.
“We share in Your Royal Highness’s sorrow and extend our heartfelt sympathy. May Almighty Allah grant the soul of Hajia Khadijah peaceful rest and continue to strengthen the Emir and the entire Katsina Emirate in the face of this painful loss,” Egbewole stated.
