UNICEF, in collaboration with Kirikasamma Local Government, has donated vital hospital equipment and supplies to strengthen antenatal care and other health services across the area.
Primary Healthcare Coordinator, Kabiru Musa, explained that the items, which include delivery beds, bed sheets, medical kits, and pillows, will be distributed to health posts throughout Kirikasamma Local Government Area. He said the supplies from both UNICEF and the council will play a key role in enhancing healthcare delivery in the region.
Presenting the equipment, Chairman of Kirikasamma Council, Honourable Muhammad Maji Wakili Marma, called on health workers to maintain accountability and transparency in the distribution process.
He praised Governor Umar Namadi and development partners for their contributions towards rehabilitating health posts and constructing midwives’ quarters in Kirikasamma and other parts of the state, noting that such interventions are critical to improving access to healthcare services.
