‎Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have repelled coordinated terrorist attacks in parts of the North-East and carried out precision air strikes, leading to the rescue of abducted civilians.

‎Military authorities disclosed that the attacks, which occurred on April 22, 2026, targeted communities including Kanama, Ngoshe, and Banki but were successfully foiled by troops through swift response and effective firepower.

‎According to reports, no casualties or damage were recorded, noting that the failed assaults demonstrate the sustained combat readiness and operational dominance of troops in the theatre.

‎In follow-up operations, troops conducted precision air interdiction missions, including a strike at Sowolowolo in the Sambisa Forest axis, which destroyed terrorist gun trucks and disrupted their logistics network with another air strike at Kaniram in the Mallam Fatori axis targeted insurgents reportedly regrouping after earlier operations, resulting in the neutralisation of several fighters.

‎However, troops under Sector 1 of 26 Brigade carried out search and rescue operations in the Mandara Mountains, successfully rescuing 15 women and children who had been abducted by terrorists.

‎Security sources added that insurgents made a retaliatory attempt by firing projectiles into Gwoza, but the attack caused no casualties or damage.

‎The military high command commended the troops for their resilience and gallantry, reaffirming its commitment to sustained offensive operations aimed at dismantling terrorist networks and protecting civilian populations, adding that operations would continue across the theatre to maintain pressure on insurgents and ensure long-term security in the region.
