Transcorp Hotels Plc has announced that its Board of Directors will meet on April 23, 2026, to consider and approve the company’s unaudited financial statements for the first quarter ended March 31, 2026.

In a notice dated April 16, 2026, and signed by the Group Company Secretary, Atinuke Kolade, the hospitality firm stated that it had already commenced a closed period effective April 1, 2026. This move is in compliance with the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) rules governing insider trading and market conduct.

The restriction applies to all transactions involving the company’s securities and will remain in force until 24 hours after the Q1 2026 financial results are released to the exchange and the general public.

“Accordingly, all insiders are prohibited from dealing in the Company’s securities during the Closed Period,” the notice read.

The announcement underscores standard corporate governance practices among listed firms, where trading windows are restricted ahead of earnings releases to prevent insider trading and ensure market integrity.
