Managing Director of the Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG), Adeleye Falade has noted that the ongoing progress on the Train 7 project would significantly boost production capacity from 22 million to 30 million tonnes per annum.

Falade made this known when he led members of his management team on a working visit to Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, the Minister of Foreign Affairs in Abuja.

Speaking during the visit, the Minister described the Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) as a strategic national asset, noting that its operations align with government priorities on energy security, investment promotion and industrial expansion.

Both parties also agreed on the need to deepen cooperation between Nigeria’s foreign policy framework and the country’s energy sector to enhance global investment attraction and strengthen Nigeria’s economic visibility.

The Foreign Affairs Minister welcomed closer institutional collaboration aimed at showcasing Nigeria’s energy opportunities and improving investor confidence in the sector.

The NLNG Managing Director in his remarks noted that the expansion of the Train 7 project is expected to generate additional jobs, increase revenue inflows, and strengthen government earnings through taxes, dividends and local content development.

Falade further restated the commitment of NLNG to advancing cooperation that will enhance Nigeria’s global competitiveness and position the country as a leading investment destination in Africa.
