The Deputy Governor of Delta, Mr Monday Onyeme says President Bola Tinubu has no rival s far as the 2027 presidential election goes.
The deputy governor has also lauded the massive turnout of registered members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to affirm President Tinubu as the party’s candidate for the 2027 general elections.
Onyeme gave the commendation after voting during the APC presidential primary election at his ward, Onicha-Ukwuani, Ndokwa West Local Government Area of the state on Saturday.
According to him, President Tinubu has no rival in the 2027 general elections, given his administration’s scorecards and economic reforms.
He observed that the economic reforms of Tinubu’s administration had been the defining moment and setting the pace and voting pattern in the country.
The deputy governor, who was the Ppresident’s agent in area, expressed satisfaction that a total of 2,972 voters affirmed Tinubu’s re-election as the APC flag bearer for the general elections.
According to Onyeme, the votes for Mr President are to enable him complete the Lagos/Calabar Coastal road.
He said that affirmation of President Tinubu’s return in 2027 was to ensure continuous autonomy for local government area councils.
“Tinubu’s re-election is a strong belief for the entrenchment of true federalism where states will control their resources and pay taxes to the Federal Government.
”Tinubu has no rival; his reform agenda is what has enabled us to keep working and making payments to contractors and workers promptly.
”The empowerment programmes that our people are benefitting from, and the fact that his reform programmes are yielding results, are endearing him to the hearts of Nigerians.
”I thank our people for believing in our President, accepting his economic reforms, and asking him to be on duty till 2031.
”All of us are in support of President Tinubu; there was no dissenting voice, and I am very happy”, Onyeme said.
The Newsmen reports that the Returning Officer at the ward, Mr Wilson Ogene, said President Tinubu scored 2,973 votes in the ward.
