President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering nationwide development, insisting that current policies and infrastructure projects are designed to spur economic growth and create opportunities across all regions of Nigeria.
Responding to criticism over perceived favouritism in federal initiatives, Tinubu, in a post on his X handle early Monday, said his government remains bound by its oath of office to serve all Nigerians without bias.
He pointed to major infrastructure investments, including the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway, the Sokoto–Badagry Superhighway, the Port Harcourt–Maiduguri rail line, and the Abuja–Kaduna–Kano expressway, describing them as projects that will boost trade, connectivity, and national economic integration.
According to the President, health centres across the country are undergoing rehabilitation, while approvals have been granted for new light rail systems in Lagos, Ogun, Kano, and Kaduna. He further revealed that the revival of the 255MW Kaduna power plant is restoring much-needed electricity supply critical for industrial growth.
Tinubu added that ongoing infrastructure work is generating over 250,000 jobs. He also cited the commencement of oil exploration in Bauchi and Gombe, the AKK gas pipeline project, and the construction of new bridges in Onitsha and Bonny as initiatives expected to bolster energy security, improve logistics, and expand productivity nationwide.
“These are not local trophies; they are national assets,” Tinubu said, emphasising that the Renewed Hope Agenda is rooted in equity, economic advancement, and shared prosperity.
He stressed that the government’s investments are designed to meet the needs of “every farmer who needs a road, every trader who needs power, every child who needs a school, and every patient who needs care,” pledging that no part of Nigeria will be overlooked in the country’s development plan.
