LAGOS, Nigeria — Olive Payment Solutions Limited has secured regulatory approval from the Nigeria Revenue Service to operate as both an accredited System Integrator and an Access Point Provider for e-invoicing, a move the company says strengthens its role in Nigeria’s digital tax compliance ecosystem.
The dual accreditation, OlivePay said in a statement on Wednesday, places platform among a small group of financial technology infrastructure providers authorised to support the country’s national electronic invoicing and digital fiscalisation framework.
As a System Integrator, the company will connect enterprise software such as ERP systems, accounting platforms, point-of-sale terminals and billing engines to the NRS central e-invoicing infrastructure. As an Access Point Provider, it will provide an encrypted communication gateway for businesses to transmit invoices, credit notes and transaction data to the tax authority in real time.
The approval adds to OlivePay’s existing System Integrator accreditation from the National Information Technology Development Agency, which the company said further cements its position in Nigeria’s tax technology and public sector revenue enablement space.
Speaking on the development, Pius Ugochukwu, Ag. Managing Director of OlivePay, said businesses should not have to handle the technical demands of regulatory e-invoicing compliance alone. He said the company had built its SI and APP capabilities to manage backend integrations, protocol mapping and statutory requirements, allowing clients to focus on their operations.
OlivePay said its enterprise e-invoicing suite includes end-to-end implementation and system integration, ERP and financial software integration, compliance readiness and infrastructure audits, sandbox testing and production deployment, and managed technical and regulatory advisory.
The company said organisations that adopt certified e-invoicing solutions early would be better placed to reduce operational risks, avoid transaction bottlenecks and meet statutory obligations as compliance enforcement tightens across sectors.
OlivePay said it offers the infrastructure, engineering depth and regulatory guidance needed for firms upgrading legacy invoice processing systems or beginning their compliance journey.
