Former Governor of Sokoto State and the Senator representing Sokoto South, Alhaji Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has paid a visit to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) leader in Jigawa State, Dr. Bashir Adamu Jumbo, at his residence in Kundila, Kano State.
The ADC Vanguard disclosed this in a statement on Saturday.
According to the group, the engagement between the political heavyweights is a clear indicator that the opposition party is deepening consultations, strengthening regional alliances, and reinforcing its political structures across the North-West zone ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The group noted that the visit to Jumbo, who holds the traditional title of Matawallen Kazaure, underscores a deliberate shift by the party from ordinary opposition rhetoric toward serious preparation for alternative national leadership.
Describing Tambuwal as a critical bridge-builder, the statement highlighted his mature approach to cross-border coalition politics, noting his ability to steadily align respected leaders across state boundaries.
The vanguard maintained that the growing synergy from Sokoto to Jigawa, Kano, and beyond proves the opposition movement is rapidly organizing its grassroots networks to challenge existing governance failures.
It added that the steady coordination among its top stakeholders is positioning the ADC as the natural rallying point for Nigerians seeking a credible alternative to current economic hardship and insecurity.
