The Jigawa State Government has demonstrated its commitment to the families of fallen security personnel by donating two million naira to the family of SC Bashir Adamu Jibrin, an officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) who tragically lost his life while on duty.

The late officer, attached to the Jigawa State Command, was killed at Shuwarin Market in Kiyawa Local Government Area while attempting to apprehend a suspect on the command’s wanted list.

The Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, Malam Bala Ibrahim, presented the donation to the deceased’s wife, Zainab Muhammad Ahmed, in his office.

He explained that the gesture was intended to support the bereaved family and assist significantly with the upbringing and welfare of the children.

Malam Ibrahim emphasized the state government’s commitment to always honor the officer’s dedication and courage in serving the nation.

He advised the widow to utilize the funds prudently, specifically for the children’s education and welfare, ensuring the officer’s sacrifice was not in vain.

Responding to the gesture, CC Muhammad Kabir Ingawa, the Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Jigawa State Command, offered prayers for the late officer’s soul, praising his dedication.

He commended Governor Malam Umar A Namadi for the thoughtful and timely support extended to the family.
