Stanbic IBTC announces closed period for shares trading on NGX

Stanbic IBTC Holdings PLC has announced plans to begin a closed period ahead of the release of its half-year audited financial statements for the period ending June 30, 2026.

This was disclosed this in a notice issued on Friday to the Nigerian Exchange Limited and shareholders by the company secretary, Chidi Okezie.

The company stated that the closed period would take effect from June 1, 2026.

“In accordance with the provisions of Rule 17.18(b) of the Rulebook of The Exchange, Stanbic IBTC Holdings PLC would like to notify its shareholders and Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) that the Company’s closed period will commence with effect from 01 June 2026,” the statement read.

The financial institution explained that the closed period would remain in effect until 24 hours after its half-year audited financial statements are released to the NGX.

The company further disclosed that insiders are barred from trading in the company’s shares during the period in line with regulatory requirements and its internal trading policy.

“Please note that in accordance with the above Rules as well as the Company’s Internal Personal Account Trading Policy, we have advised all the Company’s Insiders that they are prohibited from trading in the shares of the Company during the closed period,” it stated.

Stanbic IBTC also announced that its Board of Directors would meet on Friday, July 31, 2026, to consider the company’s half-year audited financial statements and a proposed interim dividend.

“A meeting of the Board of Directors of Stanbic IBTC Holdings PLC is scheduled to hold on Friday, 31 July 2026 at 10:00am. The meeting will discuss amongst other items, the Company’s Audited Financial Statements for the Half Year ending 30 June 2026 as well as a proposed interim dividend,” the notice added.
