Solewant Group has unveiled an 11-product range of decorative paints and protective coatings in Namibia as part of its push to expand its industrial solutions and explore opportunities within the country’s emerging energy and industrial market.
The products, unveiled on August 17 at the Mövenpick Hotel in Windhoek, are produced under Solewant Specialty Protective Coatings and Paints (SSPC & Paints) and comprise the Solguard and Novaguard ranges.
The unveiling formed part of the Solewant Group Namibia Product Roadshow 2026, which showcased the group’s capabilities in pipeline and corrosion protection, engineering and fabrication, industrial and protective coatings, technical training, workforce development and energy-sector business development.
The 11-product portfolio includes Solguard Emulsion Paint, Solguard Matt Paint, Solguard Silk Paint and Solguard Alkyd Gloss Enamel for decorative applications, as well as specialised protective coatings designed for industrial and infrastructure assets.
The Solguard range also includes Red Oxide Metal Primer, Zinc-Rich Epoxy Primer, High-Build Epoxy Coat and Acrylic Polyurethane Coat.
The Novaguard range comprises 100 per cent Solid Epoxy, 100 per cent Solid Polyurethane and 100 per cent Solid Polyurea coatings.
According to the product specifications, the coatings are designed to provide solutions including corrosion protection, abrasion resistance, waterproofing, chemical resistance, weather resistance and long-term surface protection.
The company said the range is targeted at a broad spectrum of applications spanning oil and gas, pipelines, mining, marine, construction, water and other industrial assets.
The Solguard Emulsion Paint is a water-based acrylic coating formulated for interior and exterior surfaces, while the Matt and Silk variants are designed to provide decorative finishes with properties including durability, adhesion and washability.
For industrial applications, the Solguard Zinc-Rich Epoxy Primer is designed to provide sacrificial corrosion protection, while the High-Build Epoxy Coat provides protection against corrosion and mechanical wear.
The Novaguard products are solvent-free protective coatings designed for more demanding applications, with the epoxy, polyurethane and polyurea variants offering combinations of corrosion, abrasion, chemical, impact and waterproofing resistance.
Solewant Group said the Namibia roadshow was intended to explore manufacturing, engineering, asset protection, skills development and local partnerships that could contribute to Namibia’s emerging energy and industrial value chain.
The group also participated in the Namibia Oil and Gas Conference, held in Windhoek from August 18 to 20, where it showcased its industrial capabilities and solutions for the oil and gas sector, including pipeline and corrosion protection, engineering and fabrication and protective coatings.
The expansion comes as Namibia develops its emerging oil and gas industry, creating potential demand for technologies and services supporting pipeline integrity, infrastructure protection and other industrial operations.
Through the product rollout, Solewant is positioning its coatings business to participate in opportunities beyond Nigeria while offering a portfolio covering both conventional decorative paints and specialised protective systems for energy and industrial infrastructure.
