President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is slated to join global heads of states and business leaders in Riyadh this October following an invitation from Saudi Arabia to attend the 10th edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) summit.

The invitation from the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, was officially delivered to President Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Friday.

The Saudi Ambassador to Nigeria and Special Envoy to the Crown Prince, His Excellency Yousef bin Mohammed Al-Balawi, formally presented the summit invitation during an audience granted by the President.

Known globally as “Davos in the Desert,” the flagship economic gathering presents a high-profile platform for Nigeria to advance its economic diplomacy, attract foreign direct investment, and deepen cross-border economic cooperation.

Accepting the invitation, President Tinubu highlighted the importance of the summit and expressed sincere appreciation to the Saudi monarchy, noting that relations between the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continue to expand across vital economic and development sectors.

The high-level audience followed a cordial interaction between President Tinubu and Ambassador Al-Balawi after Jumu’ah prayers at the Presidential Villa Mosque on Friday.
