Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, will on Thursdaycommission Demurin Road in Kosofe Local Government Area and two other roads in the Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of the state.

He made this known in a statement by Mr Gbenga Omotoso, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy on Wednesday in Lagos.

He said the roads include Demurin Road, Agidi Road, and Church Street in the Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area.

According to him, the roads are expected to serve as alternative links to the Third Axial Road with Ikorodu Road.

“This is all about boosting connectivity and making life more comfortable for our people.”

The governor explained that the roads served as an important bypass to Ikorodu Road from the Third Axial Road at Alapere Housing Estate.

“The Demurin-Agidi Road, in particular, is a major arterial that connects Ketu, a densely populated area with huge markets and estates, to other parts of the local government. The rehabilitation of these roads is expected to have a significant impact on the local economy.

“Especially with regards to the movement of people and goods to the popular Mile 12 International Commodities Market and the Owode Onirin Auto Parts Market on Ikorodu Road,” he said.

Sanwo-Olu noted that his administration’s commitment to infrastructure development was aimed at enhancing the welfare and productivity of residents.

He further said that the rehabilitation of the roads was a testament to his commitment to making a significant difference in the lives of residents.
