Sanwo-Olu hosts Danish tech delegation, seeks deeper ties with Lagos‎

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Monday received a high-level delegation from Denmark led by the country’s Tech Ambassador, Anne Marie Engtoft Meldgaard, during a courtesy visit to Lagos House, Ikeja.

‎The delegation, which included the Ambassador of Denmark to Nigeria, Jens Ole Bach Hansen, and the Danish Consul General in Lagos, Jette Bjerrum, was hosted as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation in technology, innovation, and sustainable development.

‎Also present at the meeting was Lagos State Commissioner for Innovation, Science and Technology, Mr. Tunbosun Alake, alongside other senior government officials.

‎During the visit, Governor Sanwo-Olu reiterated Lagos State’s commitment to deepening partnerships with global stakeholders in the technology ecosystem, noting that the state remains open to innovation-driven investments that can support job creation and digital transformation.

‎As part of the engagement, the Governor presented commemorative plaques and traditional Eyo-themed gifts to members of the Danish delegation, symbolising Lagos cultural heritage and hospitality with the meeting at Lagos House, Ikeja, expected to pave the way for further collaboration between both governments in areas of innovation, digital skills development, and investment exchange.
