Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has approved a new round of appointments aimed at injecting innovative, professional, and resourceful individuals into key government agencies and institutions across the state.
According to a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary, Ibraheem Musa, the appointments are part of the governor’s strategy to enhance socio-economic and political development in the state.
At the Kaduna State Senior Secondary Schools Education Board, Dr. Suwaiba Shehu Ibrahim (mni) was named Executive Chairman, while Hon. Nita Byack George, Hon. Monday Tela Bako, Hon. Aliyu Haruna Ahmed, and Hon. Aliyu Ibrahim were appointed Permanent Members. Barr. Muhammad Kabir Uthman will serve as the Secretary of the board.
In the Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development, Hon. Phoebe Sukai Yayi and Engr. Muhammad Sulaiman were appointed Deputy Provosts for the Samarun Kataf and Soba Campuses respectively, while Barr. Abdullahi Kabir was named Registrar.
Governor Sani also approved the appointment of Mallam El-Said Yakubu Lere as Board Chairman of the Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC) and Zakari Aliyu as the Executive Director.
At the Kaduna State Agricultural Development Agency (KADA), Hon. Gambo Mathew Bulus was appointed Board Chairman, while Mal. Lawal Usman was announced as Chairman of the Kaduna State Scholarship and Loans Board (KSSLB).
Hon. Suleiman Ibrahim becomes General Manager of the Kaduna State Environmental Protection Agency (KEPA).
Other key appointees include Usman Umar, Executive Director (Corporate Services), Kaduna Mining Development Company Ltd; Barr. Abdulrauf Atiku, Special Adviser (Legal Matters); and Murjanatu Sulaiman Shika, Special Adviser on Vocational Training and Skills Development.
Governor Sani also approved several appointments into the positions of Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants across strategic offices, including citizenship and leadership, job creation, humanitarian affairs, stakeholder relations, industrial training, and special duties.
Governor Uba Sani congratulated the new appointees and charged them to view their appointments as a call to service, not privilege.
He said: “Approach your assignments with total commitment, diligence, fairness, and humility.
“You have been chosen based on competence and integrity. Kaduna State deserves your best.”
He prayed for God’s guidance and protection for all the new officials as they take on their respective roles.
