Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO) PLC has marked a year of outstanding growth and strategic expansion under the leadership of its Managing Director/CEO, Mrs. Adenike Aboderin.

Over the past year, the company has significantly improved its financial performance, strengthened key airline partnerships, and set new benchmarks for safety and efficiency in aviation ground handling.

SAHCO reported an impressive 74.8% increase in revenue for the financial year ending December 2024, reflecting a strong commitment to operational excellence and service delivery.

Under Mrs. Aboderin’s stewardship, the company secured and renewed major airline contracts, including a five-year extension with British Airways and new agreements with South African Airways, Air Peace, Ibom Air, and Uganda Airlines.

The company also expanded its presence in the religious tourism sector by handling Hajj operations for Flynas and Umza Air.

Additionally, SAHCO played a key role in reviving the Nigeria-Italy route through a full handling contract with Neos Air.

Operational excellence has been a focal point, with the company earning multiple awards from British Airways for safety and punctuality.

SAHCO set a new industry record by completing the offloading of 37 pallets from an Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 777 cargo flight in just 37 minutes.

Safety and sustainability have remained at the forefront of SAHCO’s operations, with the renewal of its IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO) and RA3 certifications.

The company has also made substantial investments in eco-friendly ground support equipment to minimize its environmental footprint.

As SAHCO looks to the future, Mrs. Aboderin’s leadership continues to drive innovation and expansion, solidifying the company’s position as a leader in Africa’s aviation ground handling sector.
