Rev360 is secure, user-friendly — NRS

18 May 2026

The Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) has officially launched Rev360, a modern digital tax administration platform that replaces the TaxProMax system, marking a significant advancement in Nigeria’s tax compliance landscape.

Addressing key concerns among taxpayers, the NRS confirmed that Rev360 is secure.

The platform incorporates modern cybersecurity measures, robust encryption, and comprehensive data protection controls fully aligned with the Nigerian Data Protection Act (NDPA).

In a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section shared on its official X handle, the NRS emphasised the platform’s commitment to simplicity. “Rev360 is designed to be straightforward, with guided onboarding and step-by-step prompts to help first-time users complete tasks on the platform,” the service stated.

Taxpayers can now initiate and track critical processes online, including Tax Clearance Certificates (TCCs), refund requests, and tax statements. Support resources such as recorded webinars, user guides, templates, and helpdesk assistance are available on the Rev360 portal and through official channels, including the Contact Centre and email support.

Leading legal advisory firm Banwo & Ighodalo, in a note to clients, described the launch as “a major step toward a more seamless, transparent, and taxpayer-focused tax system in Nigeria”.

The firm noted that the transition from TaxProMax to Rev360 represents more than a technical upgrade. “It signals a fundamental shift in how taxpayers interact with the tax authority,” the advisory stated. Rev360 introduces a unified, intelligent platform designed to simplify compliance, enhance transparency, and improve service delivery.

Key features highlighted include: Seamless management of tax obligations through a single interface, real-time visibility into tax transactions, faster processing timelines, and improved service delivery.

The platform forms part of a broader institutional transformation agenda under the leadership of NRS Executive Chairman, Zacch Adedeji, focusing on modernisation, operational efficiency, and better taxpayer experience.

To ensure a smooth transition, the NRS conducted a nationwide readiness programme featuring stakeholder trainings, webinars, live demonstrations, user guides, and FAQs.

A structured feedback and support framework has also been established for ongoing taxpayer assistance.

The rollout of Rev360 will occur in phases, beginning with Medium and Emerging Taxpayers before extending to Government and Large Taxpayers.

Banwo & Ighodalo advised taxpayers and advisors to familiarise themselves quickly with the new system as compliance processes evolve. The launch is widely viewed as a landmark development that could significantly reduce administrative burdens and foster greater trust in Nigeria’s tax system.

Taxpayers are encouraged to visit the Rev360 portal or contact NRS official channels for guidance on the new platform.
