The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially announced that the results for candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on Friday, April 17, and Saturday, April 18, will be released on Sunday by 8pm (as at the time of filing this report).
According to a statement issued by the Board’s Spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, the scores for these two batches are expected to be available for checking by 8pm on Sunday.
The announcement comes with a sincere apology from the Board regarding the delay in releasing the Friday results, which constitute the second batch in the current examination series.
JAMB explained that the postponement was due to the Chief Executive’s absence for an essential engagement.
However, with the Chief Executive returning to the office today, the Board assured candidates and stakeholders that the release is now back on track and will certainly be completed before nightfall.
Acknowledging the anxiety surrounding the process, the Board extended its heartfelt apologies to candidates who stayed up late waiting for the results to drop.
As the portal is set to go live, JAMB urged the 2026 UTME candidates to prepare themselves both emotionally and mentally before checking their scores.
This update follows a period of heightened anticipation as thousands of students across the country await the outcome of their entrance examinations.
