The Ogun State Police Command has transferred the rape allegations made by Abigeal Nsikak, a TikTok user popularly known as Mirabel to the Ogun State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development.
Following her social media claims, Nsikak visited the police station and was taken to a medical facility for examination to verify the details of her report.
The Police officials noted that she has remained cooperative with investigators as the formal legal process moves forward.
Recognizing the need for specialized care, the police have now released Nsikak to the Ogun State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development.
The Ministry has formally undertaken responsibility for her welfare and social support, providing assurances to the Command that she will remain accessible for further questioning and investigative steps as required.
DSP Oluseyi B. Abaseyi, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Ogun State Command, emphasized that the matter is being handled with a high degree of professionalism and sensitivity.
He urged members of the public to refrain from spreading unverified speculations online and to allow the ongoing investigation to reach its conclusion.
