The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) is set to officially launch the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) Vigilant App and the MTN Closed User Group (CUG) Network on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at the Nigeria Police Resource Centre in Abuja.
This was revealed in a statement on Monday by the Force PRO, CSP Ani Iniedu.
The Force PRO revealed that the projects will be officially launched by the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Disu.
The deployment forms part of the Force’s ongoing strategy to implement technology-driven policing, enhance institutional communication channels, and raise operational efficiency nationwide.
The NPF Vigilant App is designed to facilitate secure communication, real-time incident reporting, and structured information sharing between citizens and law enforcement.
Meanwhile, the MTN CUG Network will provide a secure, dedicated platform to streamline internal coordination and voice operations across police formations.
The initiative highlights the Force’s commitment to modern technology and strategic infrastructure partnerships to optimize service delivery, strengthen rapid response capabilities, and ensure community-focused public safety across Nigeria.
