Police deploy 60 operatives ahead of JAMB exams in Anambra

The Anambra State Police Command has deployed 60 Safe School Operatives to secure students ahead of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination.

The deployment, scheduled for April 15 to April 26, 2026, is aimed at ensuring safety, orderliness, and a smooth conduct of the examination process.

The Anambra Police spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga disclosed that the operatives will be stationed across the eight Police Area Commands and supervised by the Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, ACP Harrison Oruruo.

He explained that the move is part of the Safe School Initiative designed to protect candidates, invigilators, and examination officials, while preventing malpractice and security breaches.

Ikenga further reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to maintaining peace during the exams and urged candidates and stakeholders to cooperate fully with security personnel.
