The Police Command in Lagos State has apprehended three suspected robbers and recovered a Bajaj motorcycle along with other exhibits in the Idimu area.
The Command’s spokesperson, SP Abimbola Adebisi, confirmed the arrest in a statement on Friday, noting that the suspects were caught on Tuesday at about 2:00 a.m. near the Car Wash Bus Stop.
Operatives on routine patrol intercepted the suspects, aged 20, 26, and 30, while they were riding a motorcycle. A search led to the recovery of a machete concealed in their clothing, an army camouflage uniform, four mobile phones, a power bank, and squeezed Naira notes.
A Bajaj motorcycle with registration number AKD 40 OM, allegedly used for their operations, was also recovered.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects had been robbing members of the public before fleeing the scene. They are currently in custody while investigations continue ahead of their court appearance.
