Popular content creator and TikTok personality, Peller, is facing a ₦375m lawsuit as Osarobo Osarenoma Odigie, the woman involved in a widely publicized restaurant altercation has filed a lawsuit against him.
The legal action follows a viral video of the incident which Odigie’s legal team claims has caused profound damage to her reputation and mental well-being.
In a formal demand spearheaded by her lawyers, the plaintiff is seeking the immediate removal of the viral footage from all social media platforms, alongside a public apology to be issued by the content creator.
The staggering ₦375 million claim for damages is broken down into several categories of alleged injury, including ₦200 million for defamation of character and ₦100 million for emotional distress and psychological trauma.
Additionally, the lawsuit seeks ₦75 million for what the legal team describes as persistent harassment, cyberbullying, and threats following the incident, as well as ₦20 million to cover Odigie’s accumulated legal fees.
The altercation, which initially gained traction as a trending social media topic, has now shifted into a formal judicial matter as the plaintiff’s counsel insists that the digital fallout of the video has subjected their client to significant public ridicule.
As of the time of this report, Peller has not released an official statement regarding the specific details of the lawsuit or the demands for a public apology.
