The Osun state All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji has claimed that members of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ayedaade Local Government Area have crossed political lines to begin campaigning for his election under a hybrid banner.
Speaking during a campaign visit to Gbongan ahead of the August 15 governorship election, Oyebamiji stated that the shift demonstrates growing confidence in the APC’s capacity to deliver effective leadership and security to the region.
“In this constituency, some PDP members who believe our government will perform excellently have started campaigning with the ‘PDP/APC.’ That is what we call love,” Oyebamiji declared.
The APC flagbearer commended the Gbongan constituency for its historical loyalty to the progressive fold recalling past support for former Governors Rauf Aregbesola and Gboyega Oyetola and assured voters that good governance and security would remain his top priorities if elected.
